In 2023, my wife and I embarked on a transformative journey: we walked the final 220 kilometers (about 137 miles) of the Camino de Santiago in Spain. This pilgrimage, dating back to 900 AD, has been traveled by millions of pilgrims seeking their own paths of spirituality, enlightenment, and inspiration over the centuries.

Our Camino began thirty days after I left the corporate world, where I had spent over thirty years. It was a pivotal moment to contemplate my next chapter, and the Camino provided the perfect opportunity. Over two weeks, we quietly covered approximately fifteen miles each day, allowing me to reflect deeply along the way.

The Camino de Santiago is an incomparable experience that offers a personal and introspective journey. Each pilgrim walks for individual reasons, and there is no set method—some cycle, others stroll slowly and enjoy conversations at coffee stops, while still others seek solace in medieval churches. Some even treat it as a competitive challenge and power through.

One quickly learns that every person’s Camino is an individual adventure that promises personal discovery. Symbolized by the scallop shell, the path, known as “The Way,” holds both literal and spiritual meanings. Whether etched on modern obelisks or painted on ancient walls, the shell points the way to Santiago. There are several pilgrimage routes, each with its own starting point, but they all conclude in Santiago. I found this symbolism particularly resonant, just as there are many paths to Santiago, there are also many diverse routes to achieving our goals.

The shell metaphor deeply influences the Pivot Now approach. Our clients come to us from unique starting places, yet the destination—a shared aspiration for growth and achieving revenue goals—unites us.

We look forward to joining you on your journey.
